Recently, I ordered a veggie sandwich from the renowned Bay Cities Italian Deli in Santa Monica. It was perhaps the shittiest sandwich I’ve ever paid for, and I frequent Subway. It doesn’t help that my expectations are always enormous, as it is usually very delicious, so I chalk this up to a case of “the new guy made my sandwich” or “the pissed off meat lover made my sandwich” or “the owners 4 year old son was in and wanted to make my sandwich” or all of the above. My biggest issue: THEY DIDN’T PUT ON THE REQUISITE AVOCADO SPREAD!! That’s the best fucking part. And it’s not like I special ordered that ingredient, it’s standard with the veggie sandwich. The scarce and shoddily placed other ingredients just looked terrible. Taste wise… it was ok, but only because I was starving after having spent 45 minutes tracking down a camera, taking pictures, and writing this article. I recognize this is an isolated incident, but I will send them these pics to get at least one free sandwich. I hope the pics do justice for how shitty it looked in person. And if you know me, you know that I am NOT that guy who complains at every restaurant to get free shit. Or quickly whips up web pages to express my disgust. I usually give the benefit of the doubt, or so I like to think. Anyways, enjoy the pics!

One tomato kinda forced apart. Not sure what the glisteningness is. Shouldn’t be a lot of bare landscape when you open a sandwich. This looks like something I’d expect from Ameci’s Pizza.
