A Very Flammy Week In Review
It is Friday, and thus it is time yet again to reflect on all that has happened… TO ME. So sit back, perhaps with a fresh bag of Gummi Worms, and enjoy reading about my personal exploits and what they mean… TO ME.
Monday – My first (and only) nephew is born to my first (and only) sister Juli. He is 5 pounds 13 ounces of
sheer magic. And human. His name is Jordan. His middle name is Eli. And his last name is Schneiderman. Believe it or not, he is Jewish. Excitment for the Flam family! I also ate a tuna melt at Cable’s restaurant while listening to my parents and grandma talk about Cable’s quality of food in relationship to The Lamplighter, who apparently recently bought Cable’s. Their argument was validified in a head to head Yelp match-up, where Cable’s has a 3.5 rating, and The Lamplighter has a 2.5 rating. The people have spoken.
Tuesday – Back to the hospital in the morning to see the baby. He was freshly circumcised when I got there, and expectedly exhausted after the ordeal (of literally having the foreskin of his penis lopped off with a mini-knife).
Wednesday - Shot some new holiday-themed episodes of ICN web series Life Slices with very funny fellow Barry McLaughlin. Look for them to launch next week! After that ran into my Be-Bop Heroin Hour co-host Hugh Moore at a cafe in Los Feliz, where we hung out, and then it was off to my Mortified show. The show was off the hook good times. Even better than my first appearance. The crowd reaction to my high school quest for vagina was intoxicating. Can’t say enough good things about that show.
Thursday – Worked on top secret script with comedy legend Tony Sam. He’s from Chicago! Lots of laughs. Then over to The Westside Eclectic where I did my weekly improv set. Someone took pictures! Then debuted the WE’s first ever original sketch show. I was very nervous about how it would go off and be received, but it turned out great. Catch the second showing tomorrow at 8pm!
Today - Went to Flam’s Key Service to see the parents, and got an unexpected visit from the new baby. Then back home to wallow. Lakers are on in an hour. Then… WHO KNOWS!! Probably a rave, a couple of clubs, an after-party, followed by breakfast, then another rave.
