About
I write and produce things, and sometimes perform things on stages and/or in front of cameras.
Some recent stuff I’ve done:
*LA Comedywerkz (writer, co-producer) – A pilot that was directed by Marshall Herskovitz (Traffic, “My So-Called Life”) and produced for quarterlife productions and The Independent Comedy Network.
*Snack and a Commercial (writer/director/co-producer) – Featured on Comedy Central’s Atom TV.
*Annals (Co-writer/director/producer) – An official selection of the 2008 Independent Television Festival and a featured comedy selection on YouTube.
*Comedy Makeover (co-producer/editor) – Appeared on NPR’s “All Things Considered” this Fall. (link)
*How To Break Bad News (producer/editor) – An innovative trailer for the book “How To Break Bad News” by Tim Molloy and published by Virgin Books (link)
*The Be-Bop Heroin Hour – A monthly live jazz/comedy show which was recently a featured show at SF Sketchfest and Portland’s Bridgetown Comedy Festival and has featured some of L.A.’s biggest comedy names.
*Terrorbird – Produced a music video and tour footage for acclaimed LA band The Mae Shi’s Terrorbird DVD.
*The New Expression – A multi-media comedy/art/music series I produced at art galleries across San Francisco.
*The Travel Show – A serial stage series about an odd couple travel writing duo and their misadventures abroad. No awards given, but a “personal victory.”
As a performer, I’ve done stand-up, sketch, and improv at The Westside Eclectic Comedy Theater, Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, IO West, The LA Improv, and performed in Mortified (LA & SF), The Acid Reflux Hour, Triclops, The Punk House, Who’s Available, Garage Comedy, and several other stand-up showcases.
